Doug Neff knows that a great story can change the world. As a Content Developer at Duarte Design, he makes sure our clients’ presentations are built using powerful, engaging stories, whether they are stories about global health concerns, laundry detergent, or wireless routers. Doug holds degrees in religion, music, and consciousness studies. In his spare time, he is a professional speaker, leading workshops and giving presentations on topics ranging from nursing home culture change to personal growth and leadership.

Michael Moon

Creative Director of Content, Michael develops compelling presentation narratives that help speakers engage their audiences by appealing to their needs and aspirations. Michael is experienced in presentation, interactive, environmental, and product design, and has worked with some of world’s leading brands, causes and institutions. Prior to joining Duarte, Michael worked for Ziba Design as a research analyst and information architect. Michael is a graduate of Cornell University and holds degrees in political science, economics, and English.

Dan Post is VP of Account Services for Duarte, and is a 25 year veteran of Silicon Valley. He has led both advertising and public relations agencies, served as CMO for two public companies, and was editor of several pioneering technology magazines. Dan has provided communications counsel to dozens of high profile industry leaders and startups, and is the author of three books. In his spare time, he races vintage motorcycles.

You too can contribute to the slide:ology blog. Do you care about presentations as much as we do? Do you want to help strengthen the skills of presenters everywhere? If so, then give us a holler and send us your best. That might be a just a link, an idea you want us to cover or your bio and an abstract for an submission. You get to choose what you send us but we get to choose what gets posted.

Terms For Submitting Content

At slide:ology we welcome your thoughts, links and article submissions. If you’re interested in becoming a regular slide:ologist contributor, please submit your bio and a short blog post summary of your idea.

Here are some content guidelines:

  1. As slide:ology is primarily about presentations we will only accept material that relates to this which could include the following topics: content development, visual thinking, information disply, design, delivery, etc. It will always be at the discretion of and their employees to accept or reject any submitted material.
  2. Ideas for blog posts and links can be submitted and slide:ologists will determine if they are worth a twitter or they might choose to write a post about it. We will acknowledge in the post who sent us the information. Remember though, sometimes more than one person submits the same material
  3. When submitting an article, it must be an original article that you wrote. If you work for an author as an employee or contractor and are submitting the article, please submit the article as if it was from the original author including his or her email address and name.
  4. The article must be informative and share your unique expertise. Include tips, strategies, techniques, case-studies, analysis, opinions and commentary in your articles.
  5. It must not be a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy, or blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype.
  6. We only want information that is of real value to subscribers.
  7. Articles must use proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure. While we know there is a variation in what is considered "proper English," we ask that you at least be consistent within your article. Your article must also be proofed and double checked for accuracy before it's submitted.
  8. Content must not contain: pornography/adult material, hate or violence-oriented, suggest racial intolerance, advocate against any individual or group, have insulting, obscene, degrading tone, or contain profanity
  9. MUST NOT contain any content that is a violation of any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of others.
